It’s often hard bring straight and trans when “LGBTQ+” usually gears towards cisgender, same-sex issues. While I’m post-op, my rights as a man won’t ever be denied (in theory)—but the threat to marriage equality is ever present and real.
In the ’00s, I’ve identified as a lesbian; since 2011 I’ve identified somewhere within the trans community. My name change is legal; my medical transition complete; I am legally and as medically possible male. Even though I am attracted to women, my relationships will always be somehow “queer”.
