You said I was “latently homophobic”.
You didn’t think I was a man.
You blamed my past trauma.
You were stubborn in your convictions.
No matter what I said,
No matter the explanation,
You had this preconception,
And wouldn’t take my word.
I didn’t destroy our friendship,
I didn’t fade away,
I just refused your toxicity,
I accepted my manhood.
I gave you so much,
When I had so little,
But when I needed something,
In your abundance you returned nothing.
Tell me now…
Who is the real man,
And really just a grown boy?
